Present:  Alice Winn, Robert Dilts, Lisa Perrault, Nora von Stange, Lee Ann Podruch, Paul Bohne

 

Following a presentation by Robert Geiszler of the Vermont Department of Libraries, the Trustees’ meeting was called to order at 5:50 p.m.

 

Town Manager Paul Bohne discussed the procedural aspects of conducting the search for new Library Director to replace Myra Emmons, who resigned in September 2007.  The Trustees discussed the hiring of an interim director and identified the tasks requiring attention and supervision over the next several months pending the hiring of a new director.

 

Robert Dilts made a motion to have the Trustees immediately initiate a search for an interim director.  Lee Ann Podruch seconded the motion, which was unanimously adopted by the Trustees.

 

 

Treasurer’s reports for the month ending September 30, 2007 and for the third quarter of 2007 were presented by Lisa Perrault.  Ms. Perrault is in the process of reviewing and updating the Library Budget.

 

The Trustees discussed the need to replenish the supply of library cards.  The option of ordering wallet sized cards with a new design was discussed.

 

The Friends Annual Book Sale succeeded in raising more than $12,000 in gross funds to support the Library.

 

Robert Dilts made a motion to adjourn the meeting, which was seconded by Lisa Perrault.  All Trustees agreed and the meeting adjourned at 6:55 p.m.
