TOWN OF SHELBURNE SPECIAL SELECTBOARD MEETING July 2, 2002 8:30 A.M. Shelburne Town Center Minutes MEMBERS PRESENT: Ken Albert, Chair\; Steve Dates\; Steve Good\; George Faris\; Norm Silcox ALSO PRESENT: Paul Bohne\; Peter Frankenburg\; Tom Grisham, Shelburne News Ken Albert opened the meeting at 8:38 A.M. Peter Frankenburg reviewed the basis for setting the tax rate for FY ’03. Steve Dates moved that the tax rate be set at $2.078 for the School and $ 0.538 for the Town for a total tax rate of $2.616. Norm Silcox seconded the motion which passed 5 in favor, 0 opposed. Paul Bohne asked the Board to set and interest rate for delinquent property taxes as required in the Town Charter. After a short discussion, Norm Silcox moved that the Selectboard set the interest rate for delinquent property taxes at 1 ½% per month. Steve Dates seconded the motion which passed 5 in favor, 0 opposed. Paul Bohne presented an amendment to the Revolving Loan to finance engineering for the pump station upgrade. Steve Dates moved that the Board authorize Ken Albert to sign the amendment to the Revolving Loan. George Faris seconded the motion which passed 5 in favor, 0 opposed.
