Election Information: Town meeting is the 1st Tuesday in March. The Town and Elementary School budgets are voted on by Australian ballot on Town Meeting day. The polling place is at the Town Offices Village Center Gymnasium. The polls are open from 7 AM to 7 PM on all election days. March 6, 2012 - Presidential Primary Election/Town Meeting

August 28, 2012 - Statewide Primary Election

November 6, 2012 - General Election

Voter Registration: The Town Clerk's Office is responsible for maintaining the voter checklist and voter registration. There is no waiting period for establishing residency in Vermont. The law states that "residency" is defined by where the person is domiciled, as evidenced by an intent to maintain a principle dwelling place in the town indefinitely and to return there if temporarily absent, coupled with an act or acts consistent with that intent. Voter registration forms are available at the Town Clerk's office during office hours. They are also available 24 hours a day from the police station at the dispatch desk. Individuals who have never voted in Vermont, will need to take the Freeman's Oath before a Notary Public Town Clerk or Assistant Town Clerk, a Justice of the Peace, or a Judge. Notaries are available at both the Town. Clerk's Office during office hours and at the dispatch desk at the police station 24 hours a day, and they can administer the oath and complete the voter registration form.
