Communications Training

               

The Shelburne Communications Center Training Program includes the following components:

Classroom Training:

  • 40 Hours - Vermont Enhanced 911 Call-taker Certification
  • 16 Hours - Vermont Enhanced 911 Equipment Training
  • 24 Hours - Vermont Enhanced 911 Communication Training Officer Certification (Full-time Staff Only)
  • 40 Hours - Dispatcher Training
  • 8 Hours - National Crime Information Center (NCIC) Training
  • 16 Hours - Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) Training

Field Supervised Training:

  • 360 Hours - Field Supervised Training (On the Job Training)

Continuing Education:

  • 24 Hours - Annual Vermont Enhanced 911 Call-taker Training and Recertification
  • 8 Hours - Annual Vermont Enhanced 911 Communications Training Officer Recertification (Full-time Staff Only)
  • 16 Hours - Dispatch Training
  • 4 Hours - Annual NCIC Training
  • 8 Hours - Annual CPR and First Aid Training
