Village Center Project
In response to the overcrowded conditions at the Pierson Library and in the town offices, the Town of Shelburne has completed the Village Center Project. This project has seen the move of the Shelburne Town and Police Offices to the old school building, and the move of the Pierson Library into the former Town Offices. The new library at the former Town Offices doubles the library's current space. There is also enough room on the Town Hall property to allow for an addition in ten to fifteen years as the population and use of the library continues to grow. The new Library building gives us more space for: Parking Materials Programs Book Processing Special Collections Separate Reference Area Additional Public Access Computers And we will have some new benefits: Automated Card Catalog and circulation records Seasonal outdoor reading porch Easy access to the Town Hall for larger events Conference room with Kitchenette Handicap Access
