Grades 1-4 Co-ed $25.00 Grades 3/4, 5/6, 7/8 Boys $30.00** Grades 5-8 Girls $30.00 ** U.S. LACROSSE ** REQUIREMENTS Annual U.S. Lacrosse Membership $25.00 All players registered in the Boys 3/4, Boys 5/6, and Boys 7/8 program play in the Northern Vermont Youth Boy’s Lacrosse League. This league has a mandatory requirement for all players to be a registered U.S. Lacrosse member. All players must turn in the registration form and payment for this with their general registration form OR provide their U.S. Lacrosse number and expiration date if they already belong. Players will not be allowed to participate in jamboree games if they are not U.S. Lacrosse registered members. U.S. Lacrosse registration forms can be picked up at the Shelburne Recreation office or can be printed from the website: www.lacrosse.org
JUNIOR KARATE This program will help children develop their self-esteem; focus their energy and develop character while learning safety techniques and awareness skills through basic Shotokan Karate Techniques. Open to beginners and ages 6—12. FUTURE EINSTEINS COMPUTER CLASSES ** This program has already begun. Future Einsteins offers Imagine Tomorrow Computer Classes for Kids that are structured to provide the perfect mix of group interactivity and individual computer time. During class, children become Computer Detectives on a learning adventure to imaginative places such as Email Trail or Internet Island. Classes start with an interactive video voicemail describing a new, fun-filled mission. Children then move on to their own laptop computers where they work on custom software designed specifically for each mission. Advancing at their own pace, children proudly apply new technology skills to solve problems and accomplish their goal. When class ends, children continue to enjoy their mission from home with online software activities that correspond to the current lesson. Skills learned: Early Reading & Writing, Thinking & Problem solving, Listening Comprehension, Keyboarding & Computer Basics as well as Internet & Digital Communications. This class is open to AGES 3 - 7 years old. PRE-SCHOOL CRAFT CLASS **This program has already begun. This exciting Arts and Crafts program is especially designed for children ages 3 to 5. Young artists will create a unique project each class using a broad range of materials and taking inspiration from their imagination and nature. Children will have the opportunity to have fun while expressing their creativity in an energetic and encouraging environment. Parents are welcome to drop off their kids, or stay and join their young ones who need a little extra support. A light snack will be provided, but children are encouraged to bring their own drink. This class will take a minimum of 7 and maximum of 12 participants. JUNIOR INTRODUCTION TO GOLF Join Mike Bailey, PGA Professional, to learn the fundamentals of a game that can be played for a lifetime. Instruction will be offered on putting, chipping, pitching, sand play, and the full swing. Proper golf etiquette and good sportsmanship will be strongly promoted.
