DATE: March 28th, 2010 TIME: 1:00 PM GRAND PRIZE: $1000.00 SECOND PLACE: $250.00 $50.00 to reserve your seat in the tournament. Reserve your seat by March 20... only 50 seats!!! Tournament will be held at MARCO’S PIZZERIA, 4066 Shelburne Rd. CALL #985-9895 for information and/or to reserve your seat. 20th ANNUAL CHAMPLAIN CLASSIC Shelburne Parks and Recreation is proud to host this exciting annual event featuring a 5K, 15K, and 1K Free Kids Road Race. The course has been designed to incorporate the Ti-Haul and Shelburne Bay recreation paths, and offers woods, meadows and lake views. T-shirts will be given to all pre-registered 15K and 5K runners, and will be available on a first come basis the day of the race. Kid’s t-shirts are available for $10 but MUST be pre-ordered by April 16. If you aren’t a runner, join the fun by volunteering! Volunteers are needed to help at water stations! Please call the Rec. Fee: $15 before April 16; $20 after April 16 or on race day. CVRA AMAZING PARK CHALLENGE!! The Champlain Valley Recreation Association would like to challenge you and your friends and family to get outdoors for an exciting summer of new adventures and activities in the parks that surround you. Register your team and receive a passport that grants a one time admission for all your members in to a number of pre-selected parks in the Champlain Valley throughout the summer. Complete activity pages and gather stamps in your passport at each of the parks to earn great outdoor gear prizes! A giant kick-off party on May 22 and a big finale on Aug. 14 mark the start and end of the challenge! You won’t want to miss out on this exciting adventure! Check out WWW.CVRA.ORG to learn about this program and others that are open to residents of Chittenden County through individual Town Recreation Departments. Towns participating: Burlington, South Burlington, Essex Town & Essex Junction, Shelburne, Charlotte, Milton, Hinesburg, Colchester, and Williston. Passports are good for up to 6 people, teams can be families, groups of friends, co-workers etc. $25.00 per team passport (Passport access to the parks is a $60 value). 13th ANNUAL BACK TO THE BEACH NIGHT Shelburne Parks and Recreation is proud to host this fun, well attended family event for the 13th year! Join us at Shelburne Beach for an evening of music, food and fun to kick off the start of beach season! A fun house Bouncer will provide entertainment for the kids, and if it’s warm, be sure to bring your swimsuit! Please bring a dish to share for the picnic. Hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks will be provided. This event is free and open to all Shelburne Residents. There will be no charge to enter the beach for this special event! Set up your lawn chair and blanket, bring a picnic dinner or enjoy food and drinks from the concession stand sponsored by the Recreation Committee. This event is certain to be a pleasure for the whole family! Kids will love visiting with the animals or dancing on the lawn, and everyone enjoys the great music and a treat from the concession. The gate opens at 5:30; concerts begin at 6:30 PM.
