Join us for a fun filled week of gymnastics, dance, cheerleading and circus skills!  Campers will work daily on basic and intermediate gymnastics floor skills, low beams and more.  We will learn or perfect rolls, jumps, handstands, walkovers, round-offs and all different kinds of cartwheels!   Have fun working on cheerleading skills such as arm motions, chants, jumps and cheers!  We will also choreograph cool dances to both HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL soundtracks, and learn circus skills such as balancing feathers, juggling balls, beanbags and scarves, and working on specialties!  This is a non-competitive atmosphere where each child will be taught at his/her level.  Campers will incorporate their new skills into routines for an exciting BIG SHOW on Friday!!  For the show, campers will need a plain black t-shirt, black bike shorts and white socks.(Borrowed is fine!) Parent volunteers are highly welcome - child goes Free!

Major League Soccer Camp is appropriate for both the beginner and intermediate level player.  Emphasis is on building skills and teamwork in a fun, yet challenging environment.  All campers must bring shin guards and a water bottle.  Campers receive a soccer ball, t-shirt, evaluation, and MLS gift including a free companion ticket to a MLS game.  Receive a $20 Discount off 2nd week if you sign up for both weeks of the 1/2 day or full day camp.  (no disct. on Mini-wees or Munchkins)

Learn how to build, test, and launch solid propellant rockets which safely return to earth. We will also build glider rockets, which launch like regular

rockets but glide back to earth. Design, build, and

launch rockets fueled by air and H₂0.  Make and

decorate high flying kites while learning about the

aerodynamics of kites. Price includes: model rockets and all necessary building supplies including launch engines, kite, decorating materials, and string. Students are asked to bring in a rinsed 2 liter soda bottle for the H₂0 rockets and provide their own lunch each day.

The Shelburne Players are offering children the opportunity to play on stage!  In a fun and supportive environment children will explore the basics of what it takes to put on a musical, including character development, body awareness and movement, stage presence, and use of voice.  This will be accomplished through the use of theater games, improvisations, and the rehearsal of an ensemble-based musical. The week will culminate in the presentation of this musical theater production on Friday evening, which family and friends are invited to attend.  Campers will need to bring with them each day: a lunch, a snack, and appropriate clothing and shoes for moving around indoors and out.  Please register

The goal of this FUN week will be to introduce children to the sport of triathlon in a fun, safe, and age appropriate environment.  In providing this opportunity, we hope to support fitness awareness and healthy lifestyle habits including exercise and nutrition.  All training will include games and activities promoting individual and group cooperation.  All campers will take part in a triathlon race at the end of the camp session.  We welcome kids of all ability and fitness levels.  Participants will be grouped by age and ability level, and training will accommodate all participants.  Beginners are especially encouraged to give it a try!  More information about this camp is available at the Recreation Office.  Please call for a flyer with information regarding daily schedules, outlined description of skills and teaching points, and the race.
