ADULT AND SENIOR PROGRAMS

WILD GRAPEVINE BOWLS
Bend and twist grapevine to build unusual bowls for a distinctive Thanksgiving table display. With its woody bark and curling tendrils, the vines create a rustic look that’s great for how casing decorative gourds, baby pumpkins, citrus and other objects. Please bring a pair of pruners.

FREE SENIOR WALKING PROGRAM
We want to encourage seniors to stay active and healthy! To support activity during the icy and cold winter months, we are opening the town gym for you to come and walk in a safe and warm environment. Please bring a pair of clean, dry soft-soled shoes with you and change before entering the gym. Walk with a friend or bring some music and enjoy the exercise! No registration is required. HATHA YOGA:  FOR HEALTH AND WELL BEING
Beginner's are welcome! Classes will help you to restore balance between body and mind while exercising every part of your body in a systematic way. EASY-DOES-IT!  CHAIR SUPPORTED YOGA
Learn yoga exercises to increase vitality and well-being using the support of a chair. You will explore easy and safe ways to increase your muscle strength, tone your internal organs, improve your balance and reduce your muscular fatigue. Together, we will discover how chair supported yoga will help tap into your own body's unique abilities and potential. This class is accessible to everybody regardless of your age, body type, skill level or physical challenges.

INTRO TO GOLF AT KWINIASKA
A basic intro to the game of golf for beginning adults or long time players wishing to improve fundamentals. Instruction on all aspects of the long and short game including full swing, chipping, putting, pitching, bunker play, and etiquette of the game. Clubs provided if needed. Max 8 people per class.

RECREATIONAL PROGRAM: Coed– Pick up play. This is a recreational level program with an emphasis on fun!

ADVANCED LEAGUE: 3 on 3 matches with higher level play. This night is more competitive and intense.

SHOTOKAN KARATE-Classes taught by Brandon Hier. Classes will be held at the Shelburne Town Gym. **Family discounts apply-1st person in family pays full amount, additional family members may take $15 per person/ per session.
 
**FAMILY KARATE**
This program will help children develop their self-esteem, focus their energy and develop character while learning safety techniques and awareness skills through basic Shotokan Karate Techniques. Focus will be placed on developing hand-eye coordination, balance and mental focus, leadership and partnership skills, setting and obtaining goals and building self-confidence. In addition, children will develop skills to resolve conflicts without fighting and to control their anger by focusing on helping rather than hurting others. They will also learn to develop "safety zone" perception and stranger awareness. (Fee does not include required uniform. Purchase through www.karatedepot.com. Cost is $20 or less.) Parents are welcome and encouraged to join with their kids! For Ages 6 and up.

**INTERMEDIATE AND ADVANCED TRAINING
Improve your fitness level, challenge yourself and have fun! Karate is a weaponless means of self defense, consisting of dynamic offensive and defensive techniques, using all parts of the body to their maximum advantage. This program will help students develop physical skills such as eye hand coordination and additional self-confidence based on newly learned skills. For adults & teens ages 13 and up. Participants may attend once or twice per week, but the price is the same.
Sessions:    A) Sept. 28-Nov. 18    B) Nov. 30-Jan. 27 (No class 12/23)
Days/Time: Tues. & Thurs, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.

The Green Mountain Passport is a state sponsored discount program for seniors 62+ and veterans with disabilities. For only $2.00, seniors can apply for the card at their local Town Clerk’s Office and receive FREE ADMISSION to all Vermont State Parks and state sponsored events.
