Welcome to Shelburne Rescue
Shelburne Rescue is a volunteer emergency medicine service serving the town of Shelburne, VT. Located on Lake Champlain, Shelburne has a population of roughly 7000 residents. With attractions like the Shelburne Museum and Shelburne Farms, Shelburne draws many tourists each year.

Who We Are
Shelburne Rescue was founded over 25 years ago. The squad initially operated without an ambulance, serving as first responders in coordination with the Burlington Fire Department. In order to meet the growing medical needs of the community, our first ambulance was purchased in 1988. Since its formation, the squad has grown to over 35 members who respond to more than 750 calls a year.

What We Do
We are a volunteer service providing coverage 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In addition, we employ one full time employee to assist our volunteers with daytime coverage. We staff a minimum of three people per shift, ready to respond to an emergency at any time.

Applying to Shelburne Rescue
